SCHOLARSHIP WINNERS

Lena Lonardo, on behalf of the Rhode Island Association for Cardiac Children

(RIACC), has announced scholarship winners for the year

2002-2003.

The scholarship fund was created in 1984, awarding scholarship money to

cardiac children to assist in paying for tuition, books, room and board, or

any other educational needs. Ten scholarships of $500 were awarded this

year to college bound students, and an additional award of $500 to each

student will be made for a second semester, based on the grades and

performance of the students from their first semester.
